ReVamp at West Cornforth

A project carried out by ReVamp involved the refurbishment of a listed cottage situated on the edge of the green in a County Durham village.

The stone-built cottage had been poorly rendered many years ago and was in desperate need of restoration. ReVamp's task was to remove the render, repair the stonework, and repoint the masonry.

Much of the existing stone was soft limestone, which had to be removed and replaced.

Project Details

• Filling deep holes and joints: Utilised the 22 mm prototype nozzle for efficient application.
• Deep joints: Mortar applied before it has set, with joints subsequently struck and brushed.
• Tool maintenance: Emphasis on keeping the Pnu-Point clean, including cleaning the thread after filling.
• Finished joints: Struck and brushed joints showcasing weathered sharp sand for an authentic finish.
